The first leg of the Champions League last 16 between Villarreal vs Juventus ended 1-1, last Tuesday night.
The match, which was held at the Ceramica Stadium, is one of four Champions League fixtures this week. At the same time, Chelsea managed to bend the representatives of France, Olympique Lyon, with a score of 2-0.
Meanwhile, the other two matches that will be held on Wednesday night are Atletico Madrid vs Manchester United and Benfica vs Ajax Amsterdam.
In the Villarreal vs Juventus party, Dusan Vlahovic appeared as the morning hero for his team. He also scored a quick goal into the opponent's goal just 32 seconds after the match started.
Starting from a long ball sent by Danilo, he deftly passed the Villarreal defenders and scored against Geronimo Rulli.
Juventus' quick goal also forced the hosts to appear more aggressive. Sure enough, until 30 minutes of the first half, Villarreal locked up the Juventus defense to create several mature opportunities.
But unfortunately, these efforts have not yielded results to equalize. Until finally, Dani Parejo became the team's deadlock with a goal in the 66th minute.
The writing on the scoreboard was changed to 1-1, which lasted until the referee blew the long whistle. The first leg of the Champions League last 16 between Villarreal vs Juventus closed with a draw.
The two teams will meet again for the second leg which will be held in Turin on March 16, 2022, with an aggregate of 1-1.
